State of the Nation Address 2013

     After four years in his seat, President Benigno Aquino Simeon "Pnoy" Aquino III delivered his fourth annual State of the Nation Address (SONA) at Batasang Pambansa Complex, Quezon City on July 22, 2013 with the theme "Sa Gitna ng Daang Matuwid"
   
     Pnoy's speech was said to be very comprehensive, covering alot of areas which inclde the crrent administration's acomplishments on economic and political aspects, and also it was considered his longest address since he was elected to post in 2010.
   
     The few important points that the president stressed ot in his speech are, The Tamang Daan na Tinatahak, his accomplishments for the past three years of his administration, Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, Education Reforms, Agricultural Reforms, Health Programs, Readiness in the Calamities, Housing Programs, Enhancement of the Armed Forces & Police, Secure & Fair Elections, Peace & Order Situation in Mindanao, Enhanced Tourism Industry and lastly The Economis Growth. These were just few points that we think are important in his speech, bt several other issues were also tackled.
   
     He ended his speech with words "I am Noynoy Aquino, and I proudly say to the world; I am Filipino. How wonderful it is to be a Filipino these times.

Public School Teachers paying more taxes than lawyers, doctors.

Public school teacher were not happy that they were made the poster boys and girls of the Department of Finance (DOF), which ran a print ad wednesday showing that they were making more money than half of the lawyers and doctors in Makati City, as what their tax returns showed.
